As most have noticed by now, the former Jubilees has gone through some changes over the past few months as Ridley’s Family Market has now purchased Jubilee.

Ridley’s Family Market originated in Twin Falls Idaho. There are stores in Hyrum and Tremonton Utah. The new manager Paul Eastman has been managing grocery stores most of his lifetime, starting in 1973. He and his wife are the proud parents of eight children, (six boys and two girls) and they have nine beautiful grandchildren.

Eastman and his wife keep very busy with business as well as being parents, not to mention school. Eastman’s wife is a principle at Majestic Elementary School.  Family life and education is a big part of the new owner’s daily life, and have proudly watched as three of their eight children have received their doctorate degrees so far.

(Ridley’s is a family owned chain of supermarkets with stores in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Nevada)  In 1984, Jerry and Connie Ridley opened a 11,000-square-foot grocery store in Payson, Utah. Ridley’s first operated as an IGA franchise called Ridley’s IGA Foodliner. Two years later in 1986, the couple sold their store in Payson and opened a Food 4 Less in Orem, Utah. Once again two years later Jerry and Connie Ridley sold that store and opened their store in Jerome, Idaho in 1988. Ridley’s Food Corporation was incorporated that same year as a privately held company.

Ridley’s has been supplied by Associated Food Stores since the late 1990s. Earlier it was supplied by Fleming Foods.

The new renovations will begin soon with a whole new décor with high hopes and intentions of improving the store. The parking lot will eventually be repaved, and already new outdoor lighting has been installed. There will also be changes in location of food and non food items, “the items such as bread will be placed more central with the food items and non food items located by other non food items, there’s also plans to enclose the back docking area where the trucks load and unload.” says store manager Eastman. The new store sign will be placed on the building the week of Nov. 14.

Ridley’s are still an associated food chain and will offer great prices on grocery’s and IGA products. The Pharmacy will continue under Ridley’s.

With a fresh new look, the once known and loved Jubilee has nicely transformed into Ridley’s.  Morgan’s shoppers will find high quality service, friendliness of staff and lower prices on grocery’s.

We welcome Ridley’s and the Paul Eastman family into this community, and the service they offer of keeping a local grocery store in Morgan. Shop local and support the businesses in town!
