At the County Council meeting on Mar 2, Councilmember Sunday presented a proposal to begin public meetings on several topics related to parks and recreation. These included combining the Parks Department and the Recreation Department into one Parks and Recreation Department, bonding for the construction of an Aquatics Center, and establishing a special services district for maintenance and operation of the Parks and Recreation Department and the Aquatics Center.
