Do you rotate and balance your tires every 5,000 miles? I’m afraid that I am pretty negligent when it comes to taking the time to balance the tires on my vehicle. I’ve been told time and time again that maintaining the balance of the car’s tires is important to make them wear evenly and to get a smooth ride. It is the unequal distribution of the weight of the car on the tires that causes the imbalance. It can be corrected when a mechanic gives the car attention and redistributes the weight evenly. I only seem to pay attention to my tires when I start to notice a problem of the whole car starting to wobble or shake. Once that happens, I realize and acknowledge that it was, indeed, a good piece of advice to keep the tires balanced. If the car ends up severely out of balance, then it can lead to a pretty bumpy ride.
