Morgan School District (MSD) employees had an opportunity this year to be involved in a new wellness program. A wellness committee was formed last year before school started to decide how to motivate the employees to incorporate healthy habits into their life. The committee decided to adopt a similar program developed by the Wasatch School District. The name of the program is “Seven Steps in Seven Months: Healthier Habits = Healthier You”.  The goal of the committee for this year was to unite and encourage the employees of Morgan School District to improve overall health and wellness.

Mark and Heidi packed their bags and moved to Morgan in October 2007 after searching for a house for their growing family.  They had searched for the right house to fit their family on a budget after Heidi quit her job to raise her children.  Mark’s boss told him they needed to visit Morgan during a bad inversion.   They took his advice and as they came through the canyon to the clear skies of Morgan they felt like they could breathe again.  They soon fell in love with our little town.

Privacy issues are in the news nearly every week.  Whether it is Google changing its policies, or new legislation restricting the use of personal information.  Privacy legislation is often the bane of genealogical research, however, and it is also often more public relations than good public policy.

Who doesn’t love birthdays?  Okay, maybe for some of us having a birthday is about more mourning than celebrating, but that’s for another article, or is it?  I’ll keep writing and if you keep reading we’ll find out together!  Why write about birthdays now?  February is an amazing month for birthdays, both presidential and preeminent people from the past, present and hopefully the future!  When you get the chance look up famous birthdays in February; it’s quite a lengthy and notable list.  That’s not to say you have to have been born in February to be fantastic.  It’s not the calendar, or the candles that determines your calling, it’s your heart.
