The Rut Less Traveled - The Spring Cleaning Cringe

Ahhh, spring has finally sprung and the long awaited, or dreaded, spring cleaning can commence! The time to do those daunting tasks that have been haunting us all winter long has now come due and we cringe knowing we can no longer spare the spurs. Why do we dread it? Because there’s so much to do and so little time to do it? Probably both! And cleaning isn’t a facet of fun no matter when it’s done. However, once the terrorizing tasks are completed, there are renewed feelings of energy and life again…at least until the clutter begins its quest to re-claim our lives, but that’s another rut for down the road.

2012 Sterling Scholars - Lindsey Richards ~ Dance

Lindsey Richards, the daughter of Stewart and Gretchen Richards, was selected as this year’s Dance Sterling Scholar at Morgan High School! She has danced for sixteen years, performing numerous times. She won the All-Star All American title in clogging for two years, was on the All American clogging team for seven years and was recognized as the National Jazz and Ballet Queen of America On Stage.

Morgan families find the Christmas spirit at the Festival of Trees

Last year when most people were packing away their ornaments, tinsel and lights, others were just getting started on Christmas trees for this year. As soon as Christmas is over and the new year begins, many people have already designed a Christmas tree, started buying supplies and some even start working on a tree they will never put their gifts under. These trees are not meant to adorn their own houses but are given away selflessly to benefit others.

Creager Shares Final Words

It was the last county council meeting for council members Sunday, Lundgren, and chairman Creager. The next council meeting will be in the new year and will see a new council seated and a new chairman chosen. The council thanked those who were leaving for their service and Chairman Creager took a moment to share his thoughts at the end of his service.
