Fallen Police officer Francom had ties to Morgan

Communities and other law enforcers across the state mourn the loss of one of the police officers that died in a shooting that happened in Ogden earlier last week. The officer, Jared Francom (who was shot and killed in the tragic 6 officer shooting in Ogden) parents were originally from Morgan.

Girl’s quick thinking saves her from abduction

Last Monday, as an elementary student living in the Mountain Green area was getting off the bus, and walking home, a man in a grayish/ silver truck pulled up and the man in the truck  told the young girl to “come here for a second.” The girl ignored him, and then took off running as the man got angry and threatened to hurt her if she didn’t obey.

You will be moving along at about 44 feet per second. You then need about 47 feet to bring the vehicle to a safe stop at 30 MPH. This, combined with your reaction time will add about 66 feet to your travel distance, with a total of 114 feet needed before you stop your car- almost double the stopping distance at only 10 MPH over!

Angels Among Us

Some of you know that this is almost the anniversary of my mom’s death two years ago  and those that do probably know that I am a complete and total Momma’s Boy! What can I say, she loved me! She took good care of me and I hope that I took good care of her when she needed me.

Meet The Candidate - Al Lundgren

Al Lundgren is a candidate for county attorney running against the incumbent Jann Farris.  Lundgren currently serves on the County Council.  Lundgren grew up in Colorado and attended his first year of college at Colorado State.  After the first year he moved to Utah to attend BYU.
